First time using Palats? Here's how the web app is structured

As you may already know, Palats offers both a web app and a mobile app.
The mobile app is best suited for inventorying, but if you're using a marketplace, you can also post listings, place orders, and manage those orders directly in the app.

This article will guide you through the structure of the web app so you know where to do what. In each section below, you’ll find links that explain how to carry out each step.

On the left-hand side menu, under “My Palats,” you’ll find several different options. Let’s go from top to bottom:

🌟 Overview – a quick glance at your web app

When you log into the Palats web app, you’ll land on the overview page. Here, you'll get a convenient summary of all the essentials – the number of locations, how many items have been inventoried, how many members are in your organization, and how many active projects there are right now.

📍 Locations

From here, you can view and create your locations. A location is a digital copy of a physical space – such as a building, an office, or a storage room. To start inventorying, you first need to create the locations you want to work with.

📁 Projects

Working with different types of end clients – for example, during office relocations or renovations – or running internal projects? Then it’s smart to group related locations into a project. You can even invite external users from outside your organization – they will only see the locations included in that specific project.

🪑 Article

An article is a digital representation of a physical object – like a desk, a door, or a washing machine. Each article is considered a unique entity, and under the “Articles” section, you can see the total number of inventoried articles across all your organization’s locations.

🧾 Models

Here you can view, edit, and manage all the models in your model library. A model describes a specific type of product – for example, a black Billy bookcase from IKEA. Models can have attributes such as color, size, or material, and they can be linked to multiple unique items (i.e., individual items of that model).

📊 Analyze

In the “Analyze” section, you can view statistics for your inventory and choose to analyze CO2, purchase price, weight, and the number of items – broken down by locations or projects.

🛒 Marketplace

If your organization uses a marketplace and you’re an administrator, this is where you manage your listings and orders in the web app.

🔗 Channels

This section shows which channels are linked to your organization. Each channel leads to a specific marketplace. If you’re an administrator and want to customize a channel, you can do so by clicking “Edit Channel” in this view.

📣 Listings

Here you’ll find all listings published on your marketplaces. You can also create custom views – perfect for tailoring the page to your workflow.

📦 Orders

In the “Orders” section, you’ll see everything that has been ordered. Just like in the Listings section, you can customize views to fit your needs.

🛍️ Visit my store

If your organization only has one marketplace, you’ll see a “Visit my store” button. Clicking it will take you directly to the listings view.
