How to Easily Manage Projects and User Permissions in Palats

Welcome to Palats!

We're excited to have you join us for inventorying. If you haven't inventoried with us before, please contact us to receive an invitation and create your personal password. If you'll be inventorying with QR codes, you'll also need to order them from us.


Let's get started!

  1. To begin a new project in Palats, start by logging into palats.io

  2. Select project from the left-hand menu and then new project

  3. Fill in the project name and select the number of project months you wish to purchase. If you have previously saved project months, you can choose to use credits instead.

  4. Next, enter your billing information and click start project. Your project month will begin once you start your project.

Invite new users to your project

In a project, an unlimited number of users are included. To grant a user access to a project, you first need to invite them to your organization in Palats. Users with member or admin permissions always have access to all projects within the organization, while project users will only see the projects they are invited to.

Invite new users to your organistion

  1. Log in to palats.io.

  2. Navigate to the organization tab located on the left-hand side menu.

💡If you don't see "Organization" in the left menu, it means that you have been invited to the organization as a project user only. In that case, you need to contact someone who has the authority to invite individuals to the organization.

 

3. Click invite user.

4. Write your name and email. Select permission level:

  • Project User if the person should only be able to see a specific project.
  • Member if the person should have access to all projects within the organization and the ability to invite users.
  • Admin if the person should have access to all projects within the organization and the authority to add and remove users.


5. Click on Send invitation. The person you invited will now receive an email to create their personal password. If you have chosen admin or member permissions, the person will be able to see all projects within the organization. If you have chosen project user permission, you will need to add the person to the project(s) they will be working on.

Invite a person with project user permission to join a project.

  1. Once the person is invited to the organization, go to the Project tab on the left-hand menu and select your project.
  2. Scroll down to Add User and add the project user(s) you invited.
  3. Done!

❗Persons with project user permission can only add

individuals to the project they have access to and who are invited to the organization.
