Inventory an article in your reuse hub using the web app

When you've set up your reuse hub, it's time to start taking inventory for all reusable items. When you inventory something in your hub, the item will be immediately be visible in the hub. The easiest way to add items to your hub is by using the Palats mobile app, but you can also create items directly in the web app.

💙 Tip! Make it a rule not to inventory anything in your reuse hub that you wouldn't consider reusing yourself.

Let's get started!

  1. Log in to Palats.io and go to Locations  in the menu on the left.
  2. Select the location you have created for your hub. Choose the division (e.g., floor plan, shelf, or zone) where you want to add the article. If you have chosen to display only a part of the location as a reuse hub, it's important to select the correct division for the article to be listed directly. You can read more about how to set up your reuse hub here.
  3. If there are no articles already, click on Add articles on this device. Otherwise, select Create article.
  4. If you have added a floor plan, mark the position on it.
  5. Upload one or more pictures.
  6. Choose a category. Based on the uploaded image, our AI will suggest categories.
  7. Fill in the model specifications, you can leave fields empty if necessary.
  8. Specify the functional and visual condition.
  9. Use additional tags if you want to specify article numbers or other information about where the article comes from.
  10. Specify the number of articles you have of this model. The condition from your first article will be copied to the copies, but you can always edit this by editing the articles later.
  11. Keep the box Create listing checked if you want your article to be listed directly in the hub.
  12. Well done! You have now added your first article(s) to the hub.

Search in the model library

If you happen to receive more articles of the same model at a later time, the model will be saved in your model library.

  1. Choose the location in the building where you will inventory by clicking on one of the divisions.
  2. Click on Create article.
  3. If you are inventorying on a floor plan, mark the position.
  4. Click on Search in model library.
  5. Select your model. Now all model specifications will be included, and you only need to fill in the article-specific details such as condition.
  6. Under Listings, you can choose to add the articles to an existing listing if there is one. If you want to create a new listing, select Create new listing, then complete and save.
