How to Reserve and Pick Up an Article in the MP/Reuse Hub Using the Mobile

To access your organization's reuse hubs, you first need to receive an invitation to Palats. If you have not received an invitation, you need to contact an administrator in your organization to be invited.

The Palats app is available for download in Google Play or the App Store.

When you need something from the reuse hub, there are two ways to proceed. You can either reserve the article in advance and pick it up later, or you can choose to collect the article immediately.

Pick up Articles Directly with a QR Code

If you are physically present in the reuse hub and know which article you need, but have not made a reservation, you can easily collect the article immediately by scanning its QR code.

  1. Locate the physical article you want.
  2. Scan the QR code attached to the article using the Palats app.
  3. Click Pick up directly.
  4. If you have more than one article, select Scan More. When you're done, click the folder icon in the left corner and choose Collect Immediately.
  5. Fill in any required information, such as a project number or address. This information is later used to generate statistics on your reuse efforts.
  6. Done! You can now take the article from the hub.

Pick up Articles Directly Without a QR Code

If you are physically present in the reuse hub and know which article you need but have not made a reservation, you can still collect the article immediately, even if it does not have a QR code.

  1. Log in to the Palats mobile app.
  2. Tap Marketplace in the bottom menu bar.
  3. Click Visit My Store to access the listings.
  4. Open the listing for the article you want to collect and select Pick up directly.
  5. Fill in any required information, such as a project number or address. This information is later used to generate statistics on your reuse efforts.
  6. Done! You can now take the article from the hub.

Reserve First and Pick up Later

Often, you may want to reserve one or more articles in advance to ensure they are still available when you visit the reuse hub. In that case, you can create an order in the Palats app and pick up the articles at a later time.

Placing an Order

  1. Log in to the mobile app.
  2. Tap Marketplace in the bottom menu bar.
  3. Click Visit My Store and select a channel if your organization has multiple options.
  4. Open the listing for the article you want to order.
  5. Select the desired quantity and add it to the cart.
  6. Click on the cart icon and choose Proceed to Checkout.
  7. If you have previous orders, you can choose to add the articles to an existing order or create a new order.
  8. Fill in the required information at checkout and confirm your order.

Depending on your organization's settings, different checkout options may be available:

  • If your organization allows specifying a destination for the articles, you will see available locations. Click on a location to specify where within that location the articles should go.
  • If no location is available, you can enter the address where the articles will be moved.
  • If no location or address options appear, the collected articles will be archived when you click Confirm Pick up.

Pick up an Order

If you are at the location where the ordered article is stored, follow these steps:

  1. Click Ready to Pick up Your Order.
  2. Choose to manually pick up your articles by clicking Pick up Article on each one.
  3. If the articles have a QR code, you can instead scan the QR code to collect them.
  4. If you decide not to collect one or more articles from your order, proceed to Finished pick up. Uncollected articles will be re-listed.
  5. Confirm finished with pick ip
  6. Confirm once more.
  7. Done!
