How to set up your MP/Reuse Hub and invite users
A reuse hub mirrors a storage or an intermediate warehouse within the organization where available articles can be showcased. By using Palats, it becomes easy to view what is stored in a warehouse, reserve, and pick up what you need.
With each pick up, the reuse is logged so that you can track statistics on the economic savings, reduced emissions, and waste quantities that you achieve.
Activate your reuse hub
You can choose to specify that a part of a location should be a reuse hub if, for example, you have inventoried a building with multiple floors where there is a storage area on one of the floors. You can also choose to mark an entire location as a reuse hub if you only have a large storage area.
To make these settings, we at Palats need to assist you, and therefore, you will be contacted by us when setting up your hub. Once this is done, you can follow the guide below on how to set up a location.
Create a new location for the reuse hub
When creating a location for your reuse hub, it's a good idea to structure it as it appears in reality. The clearer the location is set up in Palats, the easier it will be to keep track of where everything is. You need to be an administrator or owner of an organization to create a location.
- Go to Locations in the left menu and select New Location.
- Upload an image if you wish, give the location a name, and fill in the address.
- Under Other location info, you can, for example, fill in the results unit if your organization requires internal invoicing.
- Under building layout, add the floor where the storage is located. If you have a floor plan, you can add it to be able to pin your articles on the floor plan. In the link below, you can see a detailed video and description of how to create a location.
Examples
1: You have a storage room located on the 1st floor of a building. The storage room is small and easy to overview.
2: You have a large intermediate storage area on floor 0, which is divided into different sections and shelves.
How to invite users to your reuse hub
Now it's time to start inviting the users you want to be able to use Palats. You can invite as many marketplace users as you like within your own organization. Marketplace users will only have access to the listing page where they can reserve and pick up articles from the reuse hub.
For those who are going to be responsible to take inventory in the reuse hub you need to set the permission role to editor.
🏰 If your organization uses SSO (Single Sign-On), employees can create their own login with their corporate account here and do not need to be invited to Palats.
- Go to the web app palats.io and then log in using your email address and the password you chose during registration.
- Choose Organization in the left menu.
- Click + Invite Users in the top right corner.
- Fill in the person's name and email address.
- Select the user's permission role:
- Marketplace User: Access to view, and order from listings within the organization
-
- Editor: Full access to inventory, listings, and users.
- The person you invited will receive an email with an invitation where they can create their password through a link.
- When the person accepts the invitation and creates their account, a checkmark will appear under 'Status.' A clock symbol means the invitation has not been accepted by the person yet.
If the person you invited has not received an email, you can click on the clock to send a new invitation, or click on 'Copy Invitation Link' and email it to the person. Make sure to check all inboxes, including the spam folder, to ensure that the invitation has not ended up there.
Did you accidentally enter the wrong email address or name?
- Click on the user you want to change/remove.
- Select Edit in the top right corner.
- Click Remove from organization.
- Confirm that you want to remove the person.
- Done!
