Choose what should happen next with your items by tagging them.
Refurbish, dispose of, recycle, or move? When working in the table view, you can tag your items with what should happen next. Tags are filterable and help you easily organize your articles and create lists.
In the Next step column, there are predefined options to choose from. However, if you need another alternative, you can create your own tag.
💙 Palats Tip! If you have items you want to dispose of, you can tag them with "Sell via Palats." Click here to learn more.
Step 1 - Display the Next step column
- Go to your location and open the table view by clicking on the table icon at the far right.
- Click on Customize.
- Scroll down until you find the Next step column. If the eye icon is closed, click to make the column visible. Also, make sure that the Comment functional condition and Comment visual condition columns are turned on.
- Make the Additional comment column visible and place it next to the Next step column to add free text.
- Click and drag the various columns into the order you prefer.
- Once this is done, the columns will be in the table view, and you are ready to start tagging your articles.
Step 2 - Tag the articles with the Next step
If you choose to edit multiple articles and already have a Next step or Destination tag, you will overwrite the existing tag because you can only have one tag in these fields.
- To work with one product category at a time, start by clicking Filter.
- Select the product category or categories you want to display and choose Show articles.
- If you want to tag items one at a time, click in the Next step field for the current article and choose one of the predefined options. You can also create your tag by typing it in.
- If you want to tag multiple articles at once, select the articles you want to tag. To select multiple articles in a row, hold down the Shift key.
- Options will become visible, and there you can choose Edit multiple.
- Click on Next step and select a tag or create your own by typing it in.
- In the Additional comment field, you can specify what needs to be done based on what is indicated in the Comment visual condition and Comment functional condition fields. For example, if you tagged an item as "Refurbish," you could specify in the Additional comment that the item needs to be reupholstered, and in what fabric.
