Here we walk you through creating and publishing a listing on the marketplace.
For whom?
This article is intended for you as a visitor to the marketplace. We will go through both how to place an listing and what to do if you receive an order for one of your listed items.
How to create a listing
To create a listing on the marketplace, start by creating the article or articles that will be included in the listing. Once that's done, you can publish the listing itself.
When creating articles, fill in information about the article or articles to be included in the listing, but feel free to leave any fields blank if you wish. Remember that you can only add articles of the same model in a single listing. If you have multiple articles to advertise where the model varies (e.g., a black bookshelf and a white one), you'll need to create a listing for each model.
1 - Create items
- Log in to palats.io or the mobile app.
- Click on Listings in the left-hand menu.
- Click on New listing.
- Click on Create articles.
- Take a picture on the mobile or add a picture by clicking on Upload images.
- Choose a category by searching or browsing the category tree. Try to avoid selecting categories labeled Other, since these do not generate climate calculations for your organization
- Fill in the requested specifications (it's okay to leave fields blank).
- Select the condition of the articles. For example, if you have three identical chairs in very different condition. You can also add photos showing the condition if you wish.
- Enter the number of articles included in the listing. For example, if you have 5 bookshelves, enter "5".
- Click Save article when you´re done, and continue with the steps below to publish the listing.
2 - Publish the listing
After adding your articles, it's time to provide the information you want to appear in the listing.
- Enter the responsible advertiser.
- Fill in which organization you belong to.
- Provide the contact details of the contact person.
- Activate the button if it should be a time-limited advertisement.
- Enter a new headline if needed.
- Describe the article if you wish. The specifications you provided when creating the articles will automatically appear in the listing.
- Click on Publish listing.
- Done! Your listing is now published!
Edit, Archive, or Republish a Listing
You can find all your listings in the top right corner by clicking on the person icon and then on My Listings.
To edit, archive or republish a listing, follow these steps:
- Click on the profile icon in the top right corner when logging in to palats.io. In a a mobile device, click on listings at the top of the menu bar.
- Click on my listings.
- Open the listing you want to edit.
- To edit the content, click on Edit Content and make the changes you want.
- To archive a listing, click on the arrow next to Published (in the left corner). When you archive a listing, it will disappear from the marketplace.
- If you want to republish a listing, you can find it under My listings and then under the Archive tab. Select the listing and choose Republish.
Have you received an order for one of your listed items?
When someone places an order for on of your listings, you will receive an email with information about the order and the buyer. You can also view and manage your listings and orders by clicking on the profile icon in the top right corner when you are logged in to the marketplace.
Managing an order where the buyer has chosen the option "Book Delivery"
If the person who placed an order wants the articles delivered, both you and the buyer will receive a new email as soon as a delivery date has been scheduled.
How do I know if the buyer chose "Book delivery"?
- Open the email you received titled "New order for your listing"
- Click on the link in the email " Open order in Plats" to view the buyer´s contact details.
- If the buyer chose the "Book delivery" option, you will see the message: "Delivery booking in progress. You will be notified once a delivery date has been scheduled."
Managing an order where the buyer has chosen to pick up the items themselves
- Open the email you received titled "New order for your listing".
- Click on the link in the email "Open order in palats" to view the buyer´s contact details.
- You or the buyer has collected the items, you can mark them as picked up.
- Once the buyer has collected the items, you can mark them as picked up.
