Here's how to edit model specifications for one or more articles simultaneously.
When you inventory an article, a new model is created, divided into model-specific information (e.g., product category, dimensions, color, material) and article-specific information (e.g., condition and manufacturing year). You can learn more about the difference here.
If you make a change to a model-specific field, it will be applied to all copies of the model.
Example: You have inventoried 5 interior doors and specified that they are 210 cm high, but then realize the height is 200 cm. You need to edit all copies of this model to change the height.
Here's how to do it:
- Log in to the web app at palats.io.
- Go to Locations in the left menu.
- Access the location where the article is located.
- Use the search field or filters to find the article you want to edit.
- Click on one of the copies belonging to the model you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- Scroll down to the fields under the Model section.
- Click on one of the model specifications and choose the Edit option. The changes you make to any of the model specifications will be applied to all copies linked to this model.
- Make the desired changes and click Save article in the upper right corner.
- Now all your copies of this model are updated!
