Create a model version using desktop

Start from an existing model and change one or more parameters

The "create a new model based on an existing model" function is used when you have previously added a model but want to change one or more parameters.

For example: You have added a desk that is 1400 mm wide and now have a similar desk that is 1600 mm wide but has the same model specifications otherwise.

Here's how you do it!

1. Choose the location where you want to take inventory by clicking on one of the sections (floor, room, etc.).
2. Click on "Create item" which you can find on the far right.
3. Place your item on the floor plan if one is available for that section.
4. Click on "Search in the Model Library"
5. Locate your item (in this case, the 1400 mm wide desk).
6. Click on the model specification you want to change and select "Create a new model"
7. Change the model specifications as desired and then fill in the item specifications.
8. If you want to remove the image from the original model, click to remove it or those images under "model images" and upload a new one.
