Introduktion och skapa plats för dig som administratör i Palats

Välkommen till Palats, så kul att ha dig här! 🏰

I del 1 kommer vi att gå igenom det första steget i Palats vilket är att skapa upp den eller de platser som du ska inventera på. En plats är en digital representation av en fysisk byggnad, kontor eller liknande.  

I Palats jobbar vi med modeller och artiklar och i den första videon förklarar vi skillnaden mellan dessa begrepp, samt ger dig en rundtur i Palats. Om du vill fördjupa dig kring detta finns länkar till separata avsnitt längst ner på sidan.

Denna del riktar sig till dig som är administratör och ansvarar för uppsättning av platser, du kommer troligtvis även att göra hela eller delar av inventeringen samt ansvarar för att bjuda in användare till er organisation.

1. Log in to Palats.io
2. Go to "locations" in the left menu.
3. Click on "New Location" in the top right corner.
4. Upload a picture of your location, and fill in the location's Name, Address, and any additional information.

Dividing through a Floor Plan

1. Click on "create a new division" and enter a name and any additional information.
2. Click to upload a floor plan or drag and drop the floor plan into the box. Then click "Save".
3. You can now see that there is a small map icon on the division, indicating that the floor plan has been uploaded.
4. Hoover over the floor and click on the + to add rooms to the floor plan.
5. Select type of divison and select create more if you want to add multiple rooms in a row.  
6. When you're done adding the room there will be red links next to the rooms. Click the links to start mapping out the zones on the floor plan.
7. Click "New Zone" and select a room. Then click once in each corner to outline the room's area. Don’t forget to click "Save Zone" between each room.
8. When you’re done, click "Save and Close."
9. Finish by clicking "Create Location" if you’ve completed setting up your space.

Division through Folder Structure

If you lack a floor plan, you can instead divide your location into a folder structure.

1. Click on "create a new division" and enter a name, for example, "Floor 2", and any additional information.

2. Choose "Save" without uploading any floor plan.

3. You can now start creating rooms linked to "Floor 2" by hovering over "Floor 2" and clicking on "+".

4. Once you're done with your location, click "Create location".
