Manage or create an order in the marketplace (for you with a store)

How to create or manage an order as an administrator

This article is intended for administrators who have a public marketplace where private individuals and/or businesses can place orders, either through the marketplace or by visiting your physical store.

Available option for customers at checkout:

  • Pick up in store – The customer places an order and you notify them when the order is ready for pickup.

Manage an incoming order in the web app

When a customer places an order, an email is sent to the address connected to the listing or to the function email specified during your marketplace setup.

  1. Click the link in the email to go directly to the order, or log in at palats.io and go to Orders under Marketplace in the left-hand menu.
  2. Open the order you want to manage.
  3. Start picking by clicking Start picking. Here you pick the items included in the order and prepare them for pickup. If you want to print a picking/delivery list, click the three dots in the top right corner and select Print.
  4. If you need to make changes to the order, you can remove items or edit the order via the three dots. Remove an item by clicking the minus icon or the trash icon.
  5. Once you have finished picking the order, click Schedule order and select a pickup date. Confirm when you are done.
  6. Once the items have been handed out, click Complete order.
  7. The order is now completed and your sale is registered under Analytics.

Manage an incoming order in the mobile app

  1. Log in to the Palats mobile app.
  2. Make sure you are on Overview in the bottom menu, then tap Orders in the top right corner.
  3. Open the order you want to manage.
  4. Start picking by tapping Start picking. Here you pick the items included in the order and prepare them for pickup. You can either scan the QR code or select the correct item manually.
  5. Tap Schedule order and select a pickup date. Confirm when you are done.
  6. If you need to make changes to the order or remove an item, you can do so via the three dots under content.
  7. Once the items have been handed out, tap Complete order. The order is now completed and your sale is registered under Analytics.

Create an order for in-store purchases

If a customer visits your store and wants to make a purchase without placing an order beforehand, you need to create the order manually. You can either create the order in the web app via the marketplace or directly in the mobile app.

To create an order in the mobile app

Log in to the Palats mobile app.

If the item has a QR code:

  1. Tap Scan in the bottom menu and scan the QR code.
  2. Tap Scan more if you want to add more items to the order.
  3. Select Add to new order.
  4. Save and complete – done!

If the item does not have a QR code:

  1. Find the item either in its inventory location or via your marketplace listing.
  2. Place the order on behalf of the customer and complete the purchase as usual by starting the handover.
