Manage an order in the marketplace – for marketplace users

Have you received an order on one of your listed items?

When someone places an order on one of your listings, you will receive an email with information about what has been ordered and the buyer’s contact details. When you are logged in to the marketplace, you can find both the orders you have placed (purchased) and the orders you have received on your listings (sold) under the Orders tab next to Listings.

Manage an order when the option “Pick up at location” is selected

This means that you, as the seller, are responsible for contacting the buyer and agreeing on when and where the item can be picked up. Once this is done, you as the seller need to confirm that the delivery has been collected. This is important so that your organization can track the climate and financial savings achieved through your sale.

  1. Open the email you received titled “New order on your listing”
  2. Click the link in the email “Open order in Palats” to view the buyer’s contact details
  3. As the seller, contact the buyer to agree on a date and location for pickup

Important! Once the buyer has collected the items, you need to open the order in Palats again and confirm that the delivery has been picked up, see image below.

Manage an order where the buyer has selected the option “Delivery”

In some cases, your organization offers the option to arrange transport when placing an order. If the person who placed the order wants the items delivered, both you and the buyer will receive a new email as soon as a delivery date has been booked.

How do I know if the buyer selected “Delivery”?

  1. Open the email you received titled “New order on your listing”
  2. Click the link in the email “Open order in Palats”

If the buyer has selected the delivery option, it will say:
“Delivery booking in progress. You will be notified when the delivery date has been scheduled.”
