Retrieve an item from a storage facility - Three different scenarios
This article is intended for you who work in an organization that manages furniture storage facilities. Your role may include handling maintenance requests, moving furniture from storage to an office location, or similar tasks.
It may also be the case that other people in your organization (e.g. an architect) have access to the marketplace to view available items for a project. In that case, the architect places the order, while you are responsible for handling the order and delivering it on the requested delivery date.
1. Maintenance request
Example: You receive a maintenance request for a broken office chair and happen to already be in the storage facility. You find a suitable replacement chair and want to retrieve it immediately.
- Open the mobile app and tap Scan in the bottom menu
- Scan the QR code of the item you want to take
- If you need multiple items, tap Scan more after the first scan
- Tap the folder icon in the bottom left corner, then select Options
- Select Add to cart
- Go to the cart and select Checkout
- Choose where the item(s) should be moved
- Select delivery method “I will arrange pickup” since you are collecting the item yourself
- Click Complete order immediately
- Confirm the order and take the item(s) to their destination
Done!
2. On-site action
Example: You are at an office and notice that two office chairs need to be replaced. You don’t have time to go to storage right now but want to place an order to pick up later.
- Open the mobile app and tap Marketplace in the bottom menu
- Tap Visit my store
- Select the items you want by opening a listing
- Click Add to cart
- Go to Checkout
- Choose where the item(s) should be delivered
- Select delivery method “I will arrange pickup myself”
- Confirm the order (do not complete it yet if you are not on-site)
When you are later at the storage facility:
- Go to Overview in the bottom menu
- Tap Orders at the top
- Open your order and select Start handover
- Tap Deliver with QR scanner and scan the QR code
- If you scan the wrong item of the same model, select Swap and deliver
- Tap Complete pickup
Done! You can now take the items from the storage.
3. Architect places an order
Example: A project is being planned and one or more architects are involved. They use the marketplace to see available items and place an order. Since architects do not retrieve items themselves, they select the delivery option “I want to book delivery” and choose a preferred delivery date.
- An architect places an order in the marketplace and selects “I want to book delivery”
- You receive an email about the incoming order and requested delivery date
- Open the order on desktop or in the mobile app under Orders
- Confirm the delivery date or suggest a new one
When it’s time to prepare and deliver the order:
- Click Start handover
- Follow the same steps as in scenario 2
