[Detailed information - Models](https://learn.palats.io/your-digital-inventory?hsLang=en#detailed-information-models) # Create a version of a model in the mobile app ## If you've taken inventory of a model before and want to create a model where, for example, the color or dimensions are different, you can start from an existing model to create a new version of a model The function to create a version of a model means that you start from an existing model that you've previously taken inventory of in Palats, but you want to change one or more parameters. *For example, you've taken inventory of a rug that is 4000 x 3000 mm, and now you have a similar rug that is instead 3500 x 4000 mm but has the same model specifications in other aspects.*   #### **Here's how you do it:** 1. Click on the **purple plus** **sign** in the lower right corner. 2. Click on "**Search in the model library**" and find the model you want to start from. 3. When you've selected the model, click on "**Show all specifications**" (under the small image). 4. Click on the model specification you want to change and choose the option "**Create a new model**" *If you choose to edit instead, the changes you make will apply to all existing items of this model.* 5. If you want to remove the model image that comes from the original model, uncheck the image/images listed as "**Model images**" To add new images, click on "**Add photos**" which you can find by scrolling up. Here, you can also add a QR code. 6. Change the model specifications as desired and then fill in the article specifications. 7.
