      Create and Share a Viewing Link

      How to Create and Share a Viewing Link

      When you have inventoried your items in Palats and want to share your work, you can choose to create and share a viewing link in addition to an Excel report. No login to Palats is required to access the viewing link; the link is shared via email, and the recipient does not have editing capabilities.

      Share the entire location or only parts of it

      1. Log in to the web app at palats.io.
      2. Go to "Locations" in the left-hand menu and then click on the location for which you want to create a viewing link.
      3. Click on the entire location if you want the customer to see the whole location, or click on a sub-location to limit the viewing to specific parts of the location.
      4. Click on "Share."
      5. Name the link by filling in a working name.
      6. Then choose how long you want the viewing link to be active.
      7. Under "Hidden Specifications," you can choose to hide details such as purchase price, tags, etc.
      8. Click on "Generate Link" and then on "Copy."
      9. The generated link provides access to a viewing version of the location and does not require any login.
      10. Email the link to your customer.
      11. Done!


      If you make any changes to the Location, inventory, or update an item, the customer will see the updated information, and you will not need to create a new viewing link.

      Share a Viewing Link Based on Filtering

      If you want to create a viewing link based on a tag or a product category, you first need to apply the filter and then create the viewing link.

      1. Stand on the entire location or one of the sub-locations.
      2. Click on "Filter" and select a tag or product category, for example.
      3. Click on "Share."
      4. Name the link by filling in a working name.
      5. Ensure that the tags and/or product categories you have chosen are visible under "Applied Filters."
      6. Then choose how long you want the viewing link to be active.
      7. Under "Hidden Specifications," you can choose to hide details such as purchase price, tags, etc.
      8. Click on "Generate Link" and then on "Copy."
      9. The generated link provides access to a viewing version of the location and does not require any login.
      10. Email the link to your customer.
      11. Done!

      This way, you can conveniently share specific or general details about your inventory with your customer.
