# Add an extra room in the mobile app

## How to add an extra room in the mobile app

Before starting out to take inventory, you prepare the work in Palats by creating a new Location. A Location represents the property or building you are working in. You create your Location(s) in the web app, but if during the process, you realize that a room is missing and you want to add it, you can do so directly in the mobile app.

We recommend that you create your Locations in the web app before starting your inventory, as it is significantly faster than doing it in the mobile app. Click here to see how it's done

#### Here's how you do it!

1. Log in to the mobile app and make sure you are on the '**Overview**' in the bottom menu bar.
2. Long-press the Location where you want to add a room. This will bring up the '**Edit Location**' option.
3. Navigate through the floor plan you want to add a room to and click '**Add Division**'
4. Choose whether you want to name your division as a room, apartment, office, or part, and fill in the number and/or name.
5. Click '**Save Division**'
6. After adding your rooms, click '**Complete & Save Location**' at the bottom.

💡 To change the information of a division, simply click on the title. If you want to delete a division, long-press it and click on the trash can icon.
