This article is for you who are an owner or administrator in Palats, with permissions to manage data and events related to your statistics in Analyze.
What is an event?
An event refers to anything that happens to an article in Palats – from the moment you first inventory it to when you move, reuse, sell it through a marketplace, or archive it as waste handled.
Each time something happens, it is automatically registered in Analyze in Palats.
If you want to change an event – for example, from "sold" to "reused internally" – you can easily do this directly in Analyze.
How is climate data calculated, and how can I enter my own?
The climate savings shown in Palats are based on default weight and estimated climate impact per product category. The value is presented in kg CO₂e and reflects a product’s impact during the production phase (A1–A3).
You can read more about what A1–A3 means on Boverket’s website by clicking here.
Palats uses the following databases as sources for climate data:
-
Boverket's Climate Database
-
SYKE's Climate Database
-
EPD International
-
EPD Norway
The climate value represents generic product categories linked to general data. This means the savings don’t reflect a specific model but represent an average for the product category the model belongs to.
The CO₂e value is based on the category’s default weight, but you can get a more specific value by replacing the default weight with the actual weight.
The kg CO₂e value shown on your articles in Palats represents the potential climate savings you can achieve by reusing existing products instead of replacing them with new ones.
Please note that this value is an estimate, and the actual savings may vary depending on several factors.
How do you add your own climate data?
If climate data is missing in Palats – or if you want to adjust the existing values – you can easily add or update them at the model level.
You can change both weight and CO₂e/kg, and any updates you make will apply to all articles linked to that model.
